Grovelands Filming Vlog

Just a very quick vlog of us on Friday at Grovelands.
We discuss that were challenged when it comes to filming due to our lack of narrative, however we feel that we have gained some shots, in particular the ones around the stream, as well as shots we took as though the camera was following us..

Filming!

The weather was kind to us and on Friday we finally managed to get out and film our second location! We met at Sinead's at 8am and then headed to Grovelands Park. Once we got there, we were almost overwhelmed just because of how big Grovelands is and took a while to decide where we wanted to base ourselves, eventually we found a wooden pathway that we thought we'd just take a chance with a follow it round

Thankfully this path saved us and ended up leading us to a stream in the forest, which we thought we definitely couldn't ignore. We began rolling the camera, although with no real narrative it is fair to say it took us a while to get into it and decide what we were actually doing! We ended up setting up the tripod on the rocks over the stream, a tad risky, but we managed it, with that we filmed the four of us around the stream, doing various things. We find by leaving the camera rolling, although we get a vast amount of unneeded footage, we feel that we relax more and therefore we look more natural in front of the camera, rather than looking strained and awkward in the footage.

Here's a few pictures that we took whilst we were filming ourselves around the stream. As a group we really liked the setting as we feel it gives our music video a natural, relaxed feel which is an element we'd discussed during brainstorming. For us, the natural lighting, hence sunrise at Alexandra Palace and the open spaces of Grovelands will hopefully create a indie vibe that reflects our song.
